The Children’s Community School lottery! As kindergarten approaches, I have been on pins and needles looking for a good schooling fit for our family. The Children’s Community School, a charter school in Davidson, is an amazing place that seeks to nurture the whole child with an emphasis on the arts and community involvement. Emma Kate was one of 27 students selected (at random) from 471 applicants. The very cool thing is that Jack is automatically guaranteed a spot, and the school will eventually be K-12. We feel so blessed with this good news! I can now relax and look forward to my baby making this big-girl transition into the world of kindergarten.
Postscript: When announcing the news to Chris, Emma Kate said, “I got into kindergarten, daddy!” How cute is that?!
