We arrived at Disney World last night around 7:30 and headed straight for our resort hotel. After checking in and grabbing a bite to eat, we tried to get the kids to bed. Emma was WAY too excited to go to sleep; she finally crashed around 10:45. This morning we headed to the Magic Kingdom where we spent the day. We had lots of fun riding rides, visiting with characters, seeing parades and performances, and enjoying good food.
We are staying at Port Orleans- Riverside:

Here are some pictures from today:

Our first day at Disney at a glance:
* Rode Dumbo
* Rode Cinderella’s Carousel
* Rode the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
* Tried to see Mickey’s Philharmagic (both kids were ready to leave before the show was over… the 3D effects and loud sounds were a bit scary for the toddler/preschooler crowd)
* Ate lunch at the Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and friends (lots of character hugs and autographs)
* Rode the Jungle Cruise
* Rode Aladin’s Magic Carpet ride
* Jack took a much-needed nap
* Emma Kate and I rode the Tea Cup ride and then visited Minnie’s cottage
* Emma rode her first roller coaster… Goofy’s Barnstormer! (She didn’t particularly like it)
* Watched the parade on Main Street
* Rode the WDW railroad
* Ate dinner at Tony’s Town Square
* Returned to the hotel for a quick dip in the pool
* 9:00pm: Kids are asleep
* 10:45pm: Chris is asleep and I am writing this blog entry
Tomorrow we look forward to going to Downtown Disney for a makeover for Emma Kate at Bibbity Bobbity Boutique. Then, we will head over to the Contemporary Resort for brunch at Chef Mickeys.
