Last night, Grammy and Grand Wink treated us to a train ride with Santa at the NC Transportation Museum. We first toured the museum, then departed on the train ride. Both kids were really excited to be riding on a train. The train stopped at the roundhouse where we were greeted with cookies and cocoa, and a surprise visit with Santa! Emma Kate sat on Santa’s lap and requested a Build-a-Bear reindeer, webkinz pets, a hair coloring set, a Hannah Montana stage and doll, High School Musical dolls, a High School Musical camera, and an American Girl doll. Jack wasn’t too keen on sitting on Santa’s lap, although he was super excited to see him. From afar, Jack asked for a water hose (so funny!). After visiting with Santa, we heard a Christmas story read by one of Santa’s elves, and then departed on the train to go back to the station. It was a great evening with family and Christmas fun. Thanks, Grammy and Grand Wink!

Oh my goodness! How did you get that great picture of Jack with “Jack here”? So awesome! Sounds like you guys had a great time! Too bad Emma Kate couldn’t think of anything to say to Santa.
Hope you guys enjoy it today! I had never been to the transportation museum- it was fun to see everything there. Jack spotted that train and wanted to see it. Then, we noticed that “Jack Here” was written on it… must have been meant to be!
Love the updates…I’m doing a better job here and there.
