We hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Christmas holiday! After spending the pre-Christmas weekend in Wilkes, we settled in for some more family time at our home with Grammy, Wink, and Annie. Christmas Eve, the kids made candy cane reindeer with Grammy, baked sugar cookies for Santa, and tossed homemade reindeer food onto the roof from Jack’s window. We also enjoyed a Christmas Eve service at DUMC, followed by some snacks and cookie decorating at home, and then a late night ride to hunt Christmas lights. Christmas morning, Emma Kate got up first (of course!), followed by the rest of us. She woke Jack and told him Santa had brought Mickey Mouse clubhouse; he immediately crawled out of bed to follow her downstairs. Emma tore into her presents quickly, while Jack patiently played with his toys. Christmas day, we watched two movies, ate until our tummies were full, and enjoyed time together.
