This morning, we had the opportunity to see Roger Day (a superstar kids’ musician!) perform. Joanna, Fletcher, Emma Kate, Jack, and I enjoyed singing along with Roger Day as he performed familiar favorites along with songs from his new album (which we purchased before leaving). After the show, we briefly met him and attained autographs. Here is a quick photo taken from my iphone (Jack was too shy to get close):

Just call us Roger Day junkies! We went to Gaston Library this afternoon to watch another show. Chris had the opportunity to meet Roger Day. We hope to have the chance to interview him once we go live with our parenting blog/podcast.
Music is such a big part of life at our house. Emma Kate writes her own songs now… I know she is destined to be a writer. And, Jack loves to rock out to his favorite tunes with the karaoke mic and EK’s Hannah Montana guitar. We have been blessed to have so many opportunities to watch live performances. This year, Emma Kate has seen Lunch Money, Dan Zanes, Hannah Montana, Billy Jonas, and Roger Day.

What fun! He’s such a cool person and a great musician: fun, intelligent lyrics, and entertaining (and pretty cute to boot!). Glad we could all go together!
