So, I’ve been a blogger slacker (again). We’ve actually been so busy that I am too tired to sit down in front of my laptop in the evenings to blog. I’ve been falling asleep with the kids the last couple of nights and have enjoyed the extra shut-eye.
Wednesday, last week, we went to Jetton Park with Jo, Fletcher, Whitney, Quentin, and Griffin. We played in the “beach area,” and then headed to the park for some additional outdoor playtime. The kids got along great, and it was an enjoyable (though hot) morning. Unfortunately, I didn’t remember to bring along my camera. Joanna did… here is her post about our adventure.
Thursday morning, Whitney and I took the kids to participate in a storytime cruise aboard the Catawba Queen . We listened to stories while crusing along the lake; the kids enjoyed cookies and Whitney and I enjoyed checking out the beautiful homes along the lakefront.
And, Thursday afternoon, Evelyn and Nickolas came to visit for some Discovery Place fun. Little Nickolas loves dinosaurs, so we wanted to share this experience with them before the dinosaurs “left” the museum. We toured the dinosaur exhibit, saw a puppet show, and let the kids explore. Emma Kate and Jack dug for fossils again (their favorite find was fossilized poop!).
