Emma Kate is fascinated by natural disasters and everything science. Her favorite books are Magic School Bus and Magic Treehouse series books. When given a choice of TV programs, she will choose something from the science channel (preferrably programs that focus on tornados, hurricanes, volcanos, etc). So, it was inevitable that we visit Discovery Place’s newest exhibit- A Day in Pompeii. The exhibit is poignant and powerful- and almost a bit much for an inquisitive 6-year-old.
I remember being fascinated by Pompeii as a child- it’s pretty cool to share this interest with Emma.
Discovery Place also has a new exhibit that features math activities- including a hands-on origami activity.
